I think in a different environment and in a different mindset I would have enjoyed them more. FF was incredible, but I expected that. He's a genius (I don't even think that's hyperbole) and a cute little host too. The highlight for me was Dirty Projectors - their autistic formulaic-but-improvised songs were impeccable performed. Such a great direction to take a clean 4-piece band in. To top it off, I sat next to Vampire Weekend on the tube back home, and we had a nice little chinwag about the DPs. Such a great night! I've heard there were at least 500 people to collect their tickets at the venue. I spent an hour on the queue and just got to see half of Dirty Projectors. I think the promoter should give some money back to all the people that missed the first bands. Perhaps an encore would have helped. Fantastic night though.
