I didn't even know Stephen O’Malley and Alexander Tucker were playing, and so, like most of the audience, was totally unprepared for half an hour of D major/minor. I think in a different environment and in a different mindset I would have enjoyed them more.

FF was incredible, but I expected that. He's a genius (I don't even think that's hyperbole) and a cute little host too. The highlight for me was Dirty Projectors - their autistic formulaic-but-improvised songs were impeccable performed. Such a great direction to take a clean 4-piece band in.

To top it off, I sat next to Vampire Weekend on the tube back home, and we had a nice little chinwag about the DPs. Such a great night!

It was also a shame that the promoter didn't send the tickets on time to many people that bought them with one month in advance. I've heard there were at least 500 people to collect their tickets at the venue. I spent an hour on the queue and just got to see half of Dirty Projectors. I think the promoter should give some money back to all the people that missed the first bands.

Well put; I found it quite rude how some members of the audience began clapping O’Malley and Tucker early to try to get them to finish sooner and I also think it was a shame that Owen's set remained at 40 minutes exactly, like the slot all the other bands had, considering he was headlining. Perhaps an encore would have helped. Fantastic night though.
